Bridgestone Blizzaks WS80s. Conquer the winter!

Hey!... Welcome to #modmonday where I give you my take on a part installed on one of my Subarus. Today we will look into @Bridgestone Blizzak Ws80 tires, they have been used on my Forester for the last 3 winters.

There is nothing like a Subaru and winter weather. But what can make your Subaru truly unstoppable in the winter...? Snow tires! After spending 3 years driving the STi through the winter on snow tires, I knew the Forester could benefit from them.

Many think that with Awd you shouldn't have any trouble in the snow... but without quality tires Awd can only help so much. Snow tires will help you stop much quicker in ice/snow/colder temps, which is something awd cannot assist with.

The name snow tires implies that they are only good for snowy conditions, but the rubber compound that is used helps in all facets when the temps drop below 45 degrees F(7 C). This is something that is often overlooked, even in just low temps you will find that snow tires will outperform non-snow tires.

Overall I find snow tires to be well worth it even if you only have a few days of snow in your area. If you only own one car you can greatly extend the life of your "performance"(what you run during the summer months) tires.
